Look for dozens of music and dance performances in St. Paul this weekend during the family version of the Flint Hills International Children's Festival at the Ordway in St. Paul. During the week, school groups have attended the showings, and events continue Saturday and Sunday for the rest of us.

In addition to the ticketed indoor performances, Rice Park and nearby Landmark Plaza will be buzzing with free art, as well as music and food.

In an unusual art form blending food and sculpture, students will constuct large masterpieces out of donated food items. Non-persishable food items, to be sure. They'll later be given to food shelves.

And workers will construct a floral mosaic in the plaza with 28,000 bedding plants and 4,000 fresh cut flowers.
