Gov. Tim Pawlenty has reappointed Judson Bemis, Andrew Berryhill and Margaret Rapp to four-year terms on the Minnesota State Arts Board.

According to the governor's office:

Bemis, of St. Paul, is the vice president of eVentures at the Hazelden Foundation, where he is responsible for researching and developing new Internet-based products and services. In 2005, he served as interim managing director of the St. Paul Conservatory of Music. He was chairman and CEO of Solv Technology from 1992 to 2004, and was sales and marketing director for several divisions of the Bemis Co., Inc. from 1985 to 1992. Bemis was a professional actor in New York City from 1979 to 1985. Bemis currently serves on the MacPhail Center for Music board of directors and the board of governors for The Minneapolis Club.

Berryhill, of Duluth, has been the executive director of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra since 2002. From 1996 to 2002, he served as assistant director of programming for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. From 1994 to 1996, Berryhill served as operations manager for Jonathan Wentworth Associates in New York. He also served as principal on-site representative for all classical music performances for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Berryhill served as a board member of the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council, the Northwoods Nonprofits Business Collaborative, and was a Depot Foundation Arts Initiative Award winner.

Rapp, of Woodbury, worked as a high school history teacher at the St. Paul Academy and Summit School for nine years. She served as production manager and national sales manager for Claret by Shelley Holl, a jewelry company, from 1990 to 1991.  Rapp was the national marketing coordinator and national sales manager for M.E. Design, Inc., a producer of fashion jewelry and accessories, from 1986 to 1989. She holds a master's of education degree in social studies education from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Carleton College in Northfield.

The board's mission is to make the arts accessible to all citizens, nurture creative activities, encourage the development of innovative forms of artistic expression, and preserve the state’s diverse artistic heritage by providing grants and services to individual artists, arts organizations, schools, colleges and universities, communities, and other organizations that sponsor arts activities.

Other members of the 11-member board are: Matt Anderson, White Bear Lake; Brooke Barsness, Fergus Falls; Michael J. Charron, Winona; Ken Kaffine, Minneapolis; Ellen McInnis, Robbinsdale; Ed Oliver, Deephaven; Mary Beth Schubert, Inver Grove Heights; and Pam Perri Weaver, Anoka.
