Lake Harriet 'sea creature' sculpture needs a name

The 13-foot sea creature sculpture that first made a splash in Lake Harriet on July 8 needs a name.
The Minneapolis Parks Foundation -- which says it's "adopting" the sculpture created by artist Cameron Gainer -- has an online naming contest that runs through Aug. 16.
The Foundation plans to move the sculpture to various spots around the chain of lakes through mid-October.
Earlier, it had been placed in the Salt march Nature Preserve in Brooklyn and in a Tampa botanical garden.
