Young English actors to showcase their 'Jungle Book'

By Ed Huyck | Published Fri, Aug 21 2009 8:00 am

Young actors from Bath, England, are in the Twin Cities this week as part of an exchange with Stages Theater Company in Hopkins. While they’ll enjoy the typical area sights -- The Mall of America, the Minnesota State Fair and a Twins game -- they’ll also showcase what they do best with four performances at the Hopkins Center for the Arts.

The actors from Theatre Royal Bath Young People’s Theatre present four performances of "The Jungle Book" Aug. 26-28.

The performances are part of an exchange program that saw a troupe from Stages travel to Bath this summer to present its own production, "How I Became a Pirate."

"The Jungle Book" runs at 7 p.m. Aug. 26-28, with a 1 p.m. matinee Aug. 27 at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, 1111 Mainstreet, Hopkins. For information and reservations, call 952-979-1111 or visit online.
