Veteran performers Pat O’Brien and Mark Sieve will team up this month for David Mamet’s “American Buffalo” at Mixed Blood Theatre.

O’Brien recently returned to the Twin Cities after years in California, where he acted on the stage, in films (most recently in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”) and on TV (Everything from “Baywatch” to “Saved by The Bell.” Sieve is the co-creator of Renaissance Festival favorite Puke & Snot, and also has numerous area credits. The two first performed together in the 1970s and have shared stages at Mixed Blood and Theatre in the Round. The cast is rounded out by Shad Cooper, most recently seen in "Of Mice and Men" at Park Square Theatre.

While Sieve has played Mamet before — in Mixed Blood productions of “Glengarry Glen Ross” and “Speed the Plow” — O’Brien is making his first turn in a play by the incendiary American playwright. The show is produced under the auspices of O’Brien’s own Pat O’Brien’s Vanity Theatrics.
