Performer Jennifer Jajeh brings her one-woman show, “I Heart Hamas: And Other Things I'm Afraid to Tell You,” to the Bedlam Theatre for eight performances starting Thursday.
In the show, the performer who describes herself as a “single, Catholic, first generation, Palestinian American woman” looks at life as an outsider in both American and Palestinian cultures. She takes the audience through auditions, bad dates and a trip to her parents’ hometown of Ramallah at the start of the Second Intifada. The touring piece just finished a 12-week run in San Francisco and will be off to Chicago after its Minneapolis stop.
“I Heart Hamas” runs Thursday through Feb. 28 at the Bedlam Theatre, 1501 S. 6th St . Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at 612-341-1038 or online.
