A newly commissioned adaptation of "The Odyssey" leads the 2010-2011 season at St. Paul's Park Square Theatre.

The piece, crafted by local playwright and critic William Randall Beard, is one of two world premieres during the season. A limited run of "Naked Darrow," ­ a one-man show about the famed lawyer written and performed by Gary Anderson, ­ will be presented in April 2011. "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (November-December) and "The Diary of Anne Frank" (February-March 2011) will also be presented in limited runs and matinees.

The 2010-2011 season includes:

Sept. 10-Oct. 3: Jennifer Maisel's "The Last Seder"

Oct. 15-Nov. 7: "Gee's Bend," featuring Regina Williams. (Area Premiere)

Dec. 7, 2010-Jan. 2, 2011: Richard Greenblatt and Ted Dyskstra's "Two Pianos, Four Hands"

Jan. 14-Feb. 6, 2011: "The Odyssey." (World Premiere)

March 25-April 10, 2011: "Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird," directed by Joel Sass, best known for his work with the Jungle Theater.

May 6-29, 2011: Michael Hollinger's "Opus."

Jun3 10-July 9, 2011: "Panic." Minnesotan playwright Joseph Goodrich won the 2008 Edgar Award for best play with this thriller. The Park Square production will be directed by Theatre Pro Artistic Director Carin Bratlie.
