Laurie Kramer
Laurie joined Joel in co-founding MinnPost in 2007, putting in some of their own money, and working for the enterprise.
Her pre-MinnPost career was in the nonprofit sector, with writing, editing, fundraising, membership, marketing and supervisory positions at the Guggenheim Foundation, Consumers Union, NY State Consumer Protection Board and Jewish Community Centers in Buffalo and St. Paul.
After receiving a Masters in Public Health from the U in 2001, she founded a new Mental Health Education Project sponsored by the Twin Cities Jewish community and raised the money and support necessary. The project received various awards and she was recognized as one of Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN's Champions of Health in 2003. She continues to organize the project's annual conference.
She is a past board chair of the Mental Health Association of Minnesota and a past president of the Smith College Club of Minnesota.
At MinnPost she wears many hats. She thinks the events are the most fun. And she is always looking for help.
