Susan Albright
Susan Albright is co-managing editor of MinnPost. Among her responsibilities are the supervision of Community Voices; Learning Curve, Second Opinion, Earth Journal and arts coverage, including Artscape, Books, The Stroll and Weekend Best Bets; Greater Minnesota news; and special projects such as “Rural Minnesota: A Generation at the Crossroads” and “Driving Change: A Lens on Leadership.”
Susan was the editor of the Star Tribune’s opinion pages from 1993-2007 and led the Arizona Daily Star’s editorial pages from 1985-93.
Susan is an executive board member of the World Press Institute, which brings 10 young journalists to the United States each year. Her own journalistic travel as an opinion writer and editor has taken her through six Eastern European countries and to Russia, China, Taiwan and Singapore. She also has managed an arts and features copy desk, led special news projects, written book and restaurant reviews, and edited national and international copy for newspapers in Tucson, Louisville and Syracuse. Susan and her family live in Minneapolis, where she particularly enjoys the arts and the bike trails.
