If you’ve been waiting to buy tickets for “Ruined” -- hoping your book club would win 10 vouchers in today’s Book Club Club drawing -- stop hoping and call the Mixed Blood box office. 612-338-6131.
Unless you belong to Bookwomen.
This lucky club was randomly chosen from MinnPost’s list of 111 registered clubs.
Bookwomen has 13 members. They started meeting in South Minneapolis. Monthly meeting locations now are described as “scattered.”
The Bookwomen read novels available in paperback. Current title: “The Gathering” by Anne Enright. Recent reads: “Channeling Mark Twain” by Carol Muske-Dukes. “Winner of the National Book Award” by Jincy Willett. “The Shadow Catcher” by Marianne Wiggins. “Away” by Amy Bloom.
Numbers geeks may have noticed there are 13 Bookwomen and we only got 10 vouchers from Mixed Blood. A nice problem to have.
The prize for our next Book Club Club drawing will be announced soon. If your club still isn’t registered here, your theoretical chance of winning is precisely zero.
