MinnPost’s Book Club Club gets a lot of e-mails. We’ll publish a roundup whenever the e-box gets full.

Current reads -- and some recommendations -- from our clubs
We now have 119 registered clubs, plus 112 open-to-the-public clubs, in the BCC family. Here's what some are reading, alphabetized by club name.

Note to captains: when you send in a title, let us know whether your club recommends the book to others.

    • Apollo's Luminaries: “Anastasia,” the first book of the Ringing Cedars series.
    • Bookaroos: "The Sea, The Sea" by Iris Murdoch. Recommended to other clubs? “Yes!!!!”
    • Columbus Avenue Book Club: “City of Thieves” by David Benioff. Recommended to other clubs? Yes. “We all liked this book.”
    • The Great Escape Book Club: "American Wife" by Curtis Sittenfeld.
    • Minnesota West: “We Are All Welcome Here” by Elizabeth Berg.
    • Peyton Place Book Club: “This Side of Paradise” by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Recommended to other clubs? Yes.

A winter experiment, open to the public
Books & Bars is going to meet twice monthly in winter as an experiment. 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at Bryant Lake Bowl. Starts Jan. 12, with "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy.
