Book Club Club has another winner – and they’re No Ordinary Women

A book club called No Ordinary Women is the lucky winner of the second basket of wine, cheese, crackers, bread and fruit donated by CobornsDelivers.com.

These 11 women -- who meet 11 times a year on both sides of the Mississippi -- will have the basket delivered in time for their October meeting.

The club was chosen from the list of 81 book clubs already registered with MinnPost’s Book Club Club.

Wondering whether we’re out of prizes? Definitely not.

We intend to have literary and book club-related prize drawings about once a month. All registered book clubs will automatically be entered in each drawing.

Some details about No Ordinary Women
The club is currently reading "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society” by Mary Ann Schaffer and Annie Barrows. (Three other clubs on our list are reading the same book.)

Recent reads were “Loving Frank” by Nancy Horan, “People of the Book” by Geraldine Brooks, “The Life of Pi” by Yann Martel, and “The Shack” by William P. Young.

Members read general fiction and classics, and have “occasional ‘theme’ meetings, such as cookbook night, poetry night, etc. where we each select a favorite of the theme and talk about our choices.”
