The Strib's Dee DePass, who has been all over the Denny Hecker meltdown, reports that "Hecker is expected to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for several of his businesses, possibly as soon as today."
Two thoughts:
1. The local media community must be petrified. Hecker is a huge advertiser, and one of the newspaper diehards. (If you've ever been assaulted by one of his Strib home page ads, you know that extends online.)
2. We now know why ex-Hecker rental car exec Mick Anselmo had extra incentive to jump back into radio at WCCO.
