After seeing this MnPublius item saying Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak has decided to go for a third term in 2009, I called his spokesman, Jeremy Hanson, who insisted Rybak has made no decision.
I bugged Hanson about when the decision would come, and he said, in essence, who knows.
Rather than wind up with nothing but air, I called around to a few folks to whom R.T. might disclose his intentions. None had been leaked the mayor-or-governor decision (or mayor-and-governor) but one did say Rybak promised a decision within two weeks.
That gets us to Christmas, so the Minneapolis political scene can expect a lovely holiday gift.
