I have to admit, I never heard the "Willie & Jay" morning show, so I can't tell you the significance of Willie Clark's firing Thursday. His web page, for now, is here. His sidekick, longtime KSTP-TV reporter Jay Kolls, is apparently a survivor despite low ratings.

I did work with show producer Jeremy "Kodiak" Kienitz back in the day; an awesome dude any station would be proud to have. Another former Kienitz crony, James Lileks, broke the news on Twitter.
Here's the memo:
Staff,
Effective today, Willie Clark and Jeremy Kienitz are no longer with AM1500 KSTP.
We are appreciative of each of their efforts and hard work. We wish them only the best.
In the coming days, expect an announcement of a freshly re-structured morning-drive show, including who will be sharing the airwaves with Jay Kolls, Kenny, Bergie and Patrick Hammer as soon as some external details get wrapped up.
