I'll admit, I'm still re-priming the vacation-sapped pump for high-quality local content.
In the meantime, create your own NPR name.
Mine is Djavid Karlovy, which sounds about right.

NPR name? Well, the smallest foreign town I've visited is a stumper, but the smallest one I distinctly recall is a little village in Yorkshire called Pickering. Nice castle, and a sign on the road claiming it was founded in 480 BC (cough, cough).
So my NPR name becomes Keitha Pickering, which is not a huge change from my real name, Keith A. Pickering. Hmmmmmm.
Well, I will definitely be having some fun and spreading this to all my friends.
As for me, I'm sad to report that I've only been out of the country twice -- Once to Winnipeg, Manitoba and once to Cozumel, Mexico. Which one is smaller?
So, I suppose I could be Cjourtney Winnipeg. or, if I cheat and say Courtnej (by taking the Y off the end of my first name) ... that could work.
Courtnej Cozumel has a nice ring, too.
Ahh, the timewasting!! Thanks Brauer.
She left off the most musical of them all: Yuki Noguchi.
Say it out loud (YOU-key No-GEW-Chee)
Hmmmm. How does Ped St. Cyprien, using my confirmation name, Paul, with a little town in the Dordogne region of France, where I bicycled by myself for a week about five years ago. Now, if I could just muster a Danish-French accent, I'd be right up their with Susan Stamberg and Scott Simon, right?!
Fun.
What...the old "create your porn name" got too boring?? (Pet's name + street name)
Been looking for a pen name for years. Best until now was "Barbara la Plume." But now I have Bjarbara Lisdoonvarna. Cool!
Must have gone to the wrong website. Mine came up Larry ("Bud") Melman.
Wonderful fun. I choose to be Rodbert Seething (England). I'm now worried that our own MPR local favorites will never make it to the big show because of their mundane first names (Gary, Tim, Laura, Tom, Mike, Cathy, etc.)
