After a few days in the bunker, AM830 boss Mick Anselmo has responded to State Sen. Majority Leader Larry Pogemiller's request for a DFL rebuttal to Gov. Tim Pawlenty's Friday morning show.
Short version: Let's talk.
According to Forum Communications' Don Davis, Anselmo wrote:
"We take seriously our responsibility to provide programming that reflects the diverse makeup of our audience, and as such, if there is something you or another representative of the DFL Party can add to the ongoing discussion, we would appreciate the input."
That sounds pretty good for Pogey; I'm working on getting a copy of the letter. [Update: See below.]
Davis says the meeting will happen this week. WCCO once offered legislators airtime when the governor talked partisan trash, but the practice ended years before Anselmo arrived on the scene in December.
