According to his WCCO biography, Mark Rosen has worked for the station for 40(!) years. Not sure how many on-air guys have that kind of longevity at a single station, but it can't be a big number.

As you can imagine, some viewers have watched Little Marky grow up on-air, but younger fans lack the historical memory.
To the rescue: TCMediaNow, the newly spiffed-up pop culture treasure chest that — do I have to keep telling you this? — deserves a place in your bookmarks and RSS reader.
Anyway, TCMN has just dumped a lot of Channel 4: 1974 into the archives, including this lovely feature of a bell-bottomed Rosen panting alongside legendary runner Garry Bjorklund. This was back in the day when local stations sent 22-ish reporters to Boulder, Colo. to do 3-minute segments just because they could.
Rosey's "run-up" (which, in its way, presages "Perk at Play") comes at about the 2:30 mark.
Also featured:
♦ Dave Moore, talking toy soldiers
♦ The 1974 Bethel College Polar Dip
By the way, Bjorklund finished 13th in the '76 Olympic 10K.
