KFAN has been playing Bechtel radio ads for a few weeks now. Certainly sensed the irony over the weekend.
So you all would prefer we didn't have well-trained engineers to design and operate nuclear power facilities? Look, the Fukushima accident is not Chernobyl. The reactor design is much safer. Hydrogen explosions occurred outside the core, AS DESIGNED. Even a full core meltdown would have no environmental impact outside the containment building. These plants are designed with failure modes that will not impact the environment.
