Travelers rates risks for golf course owners

Did you know golfers are more likely to trip and fall than get conked on the head by an errant golf ball?
Travelers is hawking its golf-specific insurance policies to course owners and operators this weekend at the 2009 Golf Industry Show in New Orleans.
The St. Paul insurer released a summary of the most common claims made by golf courses. And overturned golf carts don't make the list.
Neither do gopher-hole explosions.
Turns out it's slips, trips and falls, along with wind and fire, that do the most damage. The most common fires are associated with charging golf carts in areas with insufficient electrical systems.
