West to sell electronic editions of some law textbooks
An Eagan-based publisher's move may help law school students save money and lighten their load a bit. West announced it's making close to 30 of its textbook titles available for sale as electronic downloads for the Amazon Kindle and other e-reading devices.
"We've been fascinated by the shift lawyers and law students in particular are making toward smartphones and electronic book readers," said Mike Suchsland, senior vice president for West.
I compared prices on one of the new Kindle titles being promoted by West, "Making Your Case: The Art of Persuading Judges." The hardcover edition is for sale for $28.75. The Kindle edition is $16.47.
