Medtronic launches new diabetes device: Medtronicannounced today the launch of iPro 2 Professional glucose-monitoring system in 49 countries around the world. Supervalu tied to secret Walmart opposition: Supervalu is among several large grocery retailers that have funded secretive oppositions to new Walmart stores, the Wall Street Journal reported today. The Eden Prairie-based grocery was one client of Saint Consulting Group, which uses political and legal means — often clandestinely — to block Bentonville, Ark.-based company’s developments. 3M wins Arkansas driver’s license contract: 3M Co. has been awarded a seven-year contract to administer drivers' licenses for the state of Arkansas, the company announced today. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. Maplewood-based 3M's Security Systems Division will include enrollment software, features that vets applicants against government databases a variety of data-capture tools and biographic tools for the applicant’s signature, address and name.
