    Navarre to close unprofitable DVD subsidiary

    New Hope-based Navarre Corp. is shutting down a subsidiary that licenses and distributes DVD programming. BCI Eclipse has been unprofitable for the past two years, Navarre CEO Cary Deacon said, and the recession is making it necessary to decrease expenses across the company.

    Finance & Commerce reports that the restructuring will result in 10 to 20 job losses. (I'd never heard of BCI before, but after perusing its website, I learned they're the ones responsible for getting "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" to DVD. Took me back to kindergarten. Thanks, guys!)
