A pair of major Twin Cities companies announced layoffs Wednesday totaling more than 300 positions.
Credit-rating firm Fair isaac said it expects to eliminate 250 positions worldwide. The Star Tribune reports that about 30 cuts will come in Minnesota.
Meanwhile, ValueVision, which operates the struggling ShopNBC channel, said it's slashing 60 jobs, as well as suspending 401(k) matches and freezing wages. The Star Tribune reports that most of the layoffs will come from its headquarters in Eden Prairie, but a call center in Brooklyn Center will also be affected.
