Add at least three more Minnesota brands to the list of those affected by a nationwide salmonella outbreak that's being blamed for eight deaths and made more than 500 sick.

The U.S. Department of Justice has joined an investigation into Peanut Corp. of America, raising the possibility of criminal charges, USA Today reports. The Georgia plant reportedly shipped products after they tested positive for salmonella.

More than 800 products containing Peanut Corp. ingredients have since been recalled. The list is growing so rapidly that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has created a Web widget for bloggers and journalists sites to use on their sites.

Among the Minnesota-related recalls:

SuperValu is recalling multiple brands of tin roof sundae ice cream, including a Cub Food store brand.

Best Maid Cookie Company of River Falls, Wis., is recalling several products, including a Lund's store-brand peanut butter cup dough.

And Caribou Coffee is recalling Caribou Fruit and Nut Blend Trail Mix, which was distributed nationwide, the Associated Press reports.
