12 local nonprofits to get free web site upgrades from Sierra Bravo

By Joe Kimball | Published Wed, Feb 4 2009 10:23 am

Web nerds will redesign websites for 12 nonprofits later this month in a marathon session sponsored by Sierra Bravo, a Bloomington web development company.

Twelve teams of developers will work with the nonprofits in a 24-hour session Feb. 28.

    The nonprofits are:

    • Access Press
    • Athletes Committed to Educating Students
    • Battered Women’s Legal Advocacy Project
    • Caring for Kids Initiative
    • District 202
    • Friends of Fort Snelling
    • Global Citizens Network
    • Hopkins Minnetonka Family Resource Center
    • Karen Wyckoff Rein In Sarcoma Foundation
    • Resource Center of the Americas
    • Students Today, Leaders Forever
    • YEA Corps

“Sierra Bravo is committed to this event as long as there are nonprofits whose websites could be better, powered by nerds,” said Luke Bucklin, president of Sierra Bravo, creators of the Overnight Website Challenge.
