    St. Jude Medical staying busy, optimistic for growth

    "We've been busy this year," says St. Jude Medical CEO Daniel Starks, adding that the company is sticking to a goal of double-digit sales growth.

    The company also announced its interest in transcatheter valves -- replacement heart valves that don't require major surgery, Dow Jones reports.

    The valves can be threaded into place through arteries and have been a key product for Edwards Lifescience. Medtronic is also eying the market.
