Medical-device makers might be the next ones in line to announce how they can help reduce the nation's health-care costs.
Reuters reports that a new analyst note says the White House is seeking a promise from the device industry to help trim Americans' health-care bills by up to $60 billion over 10 years.
Hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry have already pledged to help trim $155 billion and $80 billion, respectively, over the next decade.
