Northwest Airlines employees ceremoniously switched to Delta Air Lines uniforms earlier this year, but according to a reader of The Consumerist blog, they aren't on the same team yet.

The reader says he booked a Delta flight and needed help with a check-in kiosk. The first two employees wearing Delta uniforms he approached explained they couldn't help because they worked for Northwest, not Delta. Eventually a third employee, also wearing a Delta uniform, was actually a Delta employee and able to help.

Anyone else experiencing this confusion?

Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines is creating a new super-elite status called Diamond Medallion, the Star Tribune notes. The program is for elite rewards members who fly at least 125,000 miles per year. These elite elites will qualify for mileage bonuses, free membership in the Delta Sky Club and waived baggage fees.
