    UnitedHealthcare exec climbs on influential women list

    Gail Boudreaux, president of UnitedHealthcare and executive vice president of UnitedHealth Group, has climbed a few spots on an annual magazine ranking of influential businesswomen.

    Fortune and Forbes call Boudreaux a "rising star," and rank her No. 38, up from 45 last year, on their "50 Most Powerful Women" list for 2009.

    Boudreaux, 49, was hired by UnitedHealthcare in May 2008. CEO Stephen Hemsley said in the company's statement that, "Since Gail joined our organization, she has consistently raised the bar for what our company can achieve in helping people live healthier, more productive lives."
