    CVS opens 7,000th store (Little Canada) and plans free flu shots for jobless

    CVS/pharmacy opens a new location in Little Canada today, its 7,000th store in the country.

    The chain didn't enter the Minnesota market until 2004 but now has 40 stores in the state.

    At today's 11 a.m. grand opening at the Little Canada store at 2650 Rice St. -- within site of a Snyder's store that closed earlier this year -- store officials will announce details of a program to provide free seasonal flu shots for the unemployed.

    They also plan to give free “flu prevention kits” to the first 100 customers beginning at 11 a.m.
