    HOM will introduce discount outlet store: HOM Furniturewill launch a no-frills, discount concept called Dock 86 early next year. The first store is scheduled to open in February in Little Canada and will include a 74,000-square-foot showroom and a 91,000-square-foot warehouse. Dock 86 will carry overstock and closeout merchandise from name-brand manufacturers and take advantage of the challenging economy by making special purchases from bankrupt or foreclosed manufacturers and retailers.     Datalink buys Colorado firm Incentra’s reseller business: Data center infrastructure and services company Datalink Corp. has bought the reseller business of Colorado’s Incentra LLC for $8.8 million. Broomfield-based Incentra’s managed services and data center operations businesses were not included in the transaction. The reseller business designs and builds data center and information technology systems for clients. Read full story

    Minneapolis regional chamber launches program for relocated minority professionals: The Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce wants professionals who are minorities to feel at home in the Twin Cities. The chamber in January plans to launch The Partnership, a program that will hold a series of events to help relocated professionals who are minorities learn more about the community and network.     Apogee 3Q earnings down 39 percent: Glass manufacturer Apogee Enterprises reported a 39 percent drop in third-quarter earnings as stagnant commercial real estate construction hurt its sales. Bloomington-based Apogee reported profits of $10.7 million, or 39 cents per share, for the quarter ended Nov. 28. Read full story

    Padilla Speer Beardsley CEO to lead Meet Minneapolis board: Meet Minneapolis, the city’s convention and visitors association, announced Thursday that its board of directors has elected the head of one of the Twin Cities’ largest public relations firms as its chairwoman. Four new members also are joining the 42-member board. Lynn Casey is chairwoman and CEO of Padilla Speer Beardsley. Read full story
