    Delta to spend $1B to upgrade aircraft, lounges: Delta Air Lines will spend $1 billion through mid-2013 on upgrades to its aircraft and airport lounges, with most of the improvements aimed at its high-end business passengers. The Atlanta-based carrier, which acquired Northwest Airlines and still maintains a big operation in Minnesota, said the changes will improve its service to BusinessElite, First Class and elite-level flyers and better the efficiency of the airline's fleet.     Omaha Steaks opens first Minnesota store: Omaha Steaks opened its first Minnesota store earlier this month at the Shops at West End lifestyle center in St. Louis Park. The store is near o Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, a country-themed restaurant that is currently under construction. Omaha Steaks is well known nationally for its mail-order business, which started in 1952. Since 1985, it has opened more than 80 retail meat markets around the country. Read full story

    Best Buy giving $1M in scholarships through @15 site: Best Buy announced today that it will be giving away $1 million to college-bound teens. The company plans on divvying up the money in one-time $1,000 grants to ninth- through 12-graders. The Richfeild-based firm is hosting a scholarship competition on its @15 Web site, which caters to youth active in charitable causes across the nation and Puerto Rico. Read full story

    Ceridian CEO Marinello steps down; Kennedy named interim: Ceridian Chairman and CEO Kathryn Marinello is leaving, the company, announced today. Board member Lee Kennedy has been named as interim CEO. The company, based in Bloomington, has begun a search for a permanent replacement. Read full story

    ActivStyle acquires Advocate Medical Services: Minneapolis-
    based home medical equipment supplier ActivStyle has bought Tampa-based Advocate Medical Services. Advocate is a medical supplies provider for those who suffer from spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, urological incontinence and retention, chronic wounds and ostomies. With the acquisition, ActivStyle is hoping to expand its expertise in the catheter supply market. Read full story
