    Home prices rise again in February: Home prices in the Twin Cities 13-county metropolitan area increased again in February, compared to a year ago, giving the market back-to-back monthly gains for the first time since 2006. February’s median sales price was $159,000, up 6 percent from $150,000 a year ago, according to statistics released today by the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR). Read full story

    Target launches mobile coupons: Target Corp. now is offering coupons that customers can access on their mobile phones, then redeem by scanning a barcode on the phone at checkout. Minneapolis-based Target, which announced the new program today, said it is the first national retailer to offer scannable mobile coupons. Read full story

    FDA says Medtronic device didn't meet study objectives: A brain-stimulation device that Medtronic Inc. is trying to get approved to treat epilepsy in the United States ran into a roadblock today when the Food and Drug Administration said a clinic study for the project didn’t meet its objectives. At issue is Medtronic’s deep-brain stimulation system for epilepsy. The device is already approved for treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Read full story

    Blue Cross adds Chesley to board: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota announced today that it has added Walter Chesley to its board of trustees. Chesley is senior vice president of human resources, training and development for Universal Hospital Services Inc. in Edina. Read full story
