UnitedHealth plans second Twin Cities data center: UnitedHealth Group plans to break ground this summer on a $100 million to $150 million data center in Chaska, similar to the one it built in Elk River in 2008. Compensation up 12 percent for Pentair’s Hogan: Total compensation was up 12 percent for Pentair Inc.’s top executive in 2009, even as the Golden Valley-based maker of water-filtration and pool equipment laid off workers and cut costs amid the recession. Randall Hogan, Pentair’s chairman and CEO, made $7,188,985 last year, up from $6,414,361 in 2008, according to the company’s annual proxy filing. Welsh to market foreclosed Brooklyn Park site: Welsh Cos. has been hired to market 610 Crossings in Brooklyn Park, a foreclosed 58-acre site that’s owned by TCF Financial Corp. In January, TCF hired former Opus executive Tim Murnane as a development consultant for the site, and he interviewed prospective brokers for the listing. Read full story

Roy Smalley's Club 87 to replace Champps downtown: A new restaurant called Roy smalley’s 87 Club will open in the Butler Square Building in downtown Minneapolis’ Warehouse District on April 9, three days before the first regular-season game is played at nearby Target Field. The new restaurant, which will take over a space now occupied by Champps Americana, bears the name of the former Minnesota Twin,who is now a baseball analyst for the Fox Sports North cable network. The 87 in the club name refers to the year of the Twins’ first World Series championship. Read full story
