    Miami accounting firm settles Petters lawsuit: Miami-based accounting firm Kaufman Rossin & Co. has reached a $9.6 million settlement in a malpractice lawsuit that claimed it failed to detect fraud connected to the $3.65 billion Minneapolis-based Ponzi scheme of Tom Petters. Kaufman was sued last year by two West Palm Beach hedge funds that lost money in the Petters fraud. Read full story

    Biovest product gets orphan drug status from FDA: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted orphan drug designation to BiovaxID for the treatment of mantle cell lymphoma, putting Biovest International one step closer to adding jobs at a manufacturing plant in Minnesota. BiovaxID, a personalized cancer vaccine being developed by Biovest, earlier won orphan drug designation for the treatment of indolent follicular non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Read full story

    Baldwin-based Contour Plastics sold to Swedish firm: Swedish high-tech developer Nolato Group has acquired Baldwin-Wis.-based Contour Plastics, in order to enter Western Wisconsin’s flourishing med-tech sector. Nolato, which purchased Contour Plastics for $22 million, plans to use Contour to strengthen its own medical technology base. Read full story

    Chipotle launches kids menu in Minnesota: Chipotle Mexican Grill plans to launch its first children’s menu in Minnesota starting Monday. The chain owns and operates about 1,000 restaurants around the country, including about 50 in Minnesota. Read full story
