Graymark Healthcare selling pharmacies to Walgreens: Graymark Healthcare Inc. is selling its chain of 18 pharmacies, including five in Minnesota, to Walgreen Co., the company announced Wednesday. Graymark, which is officially headquartered in Oklahoma City but has much of its senior management based in Golden Valley, expects to make $35 million on the deal, which is expected to close by the end of the year pending regulatory approval. Linden Hill Co-op to celebrate move: The Linden Hills Co-op Grocery & Deli is going New Orleans in publicizing its move to a new location inside the Minneapolis neighborhood that’s its namesake. The co-op plans to have the eight-piece Jack Brass Band lead a Mardi Gras-inspired parade Sept. 12 from the co-op’s present location at 43rd Street and Upton Avenue to its new location at 3815 Sunnyside Ave. Read full story
Olson names co-media directors: Minneapolis advertising agency Olson announced Wednesday it has promoted Steve Lynch and Stephanie Thompson to co-directors of its media group. Lynch and Thompson both previously served as associate media directors. They replace their former boss, Steve Knapp, who recently left for the newly created position of brand activation at Minneapolis-based Carmichael Lynch. Read full story
