Madia's first TV ad: fluffy but cool
By Eric Black | 08/26/08
Ashwin Madia, the Democratic candidate in the hot Third Congressional District race, has released the first TV spot of the race.
I prefer facts and arguments in political discourse, and this one is almost pure fluff. But it's pretty cool. And I guess, since it obviously takes the place of an introductory bio ad, it gets across the basics of what Madia wants voters to know about his life. The press release says it will start airing Wednesday.
What think?

This ad does nothing to counter the damage Madia and his supporters have done to themselves with their "just a little bit pregnant" excuse to why Madia has already broken his ill considered promise not to accept PAC money.
He has taken an issue which candidates of both parties wish very much to keep hidden under the rug and dribbled it all over the front of his suit.
Fluffy self promotion isn't going to get that stain out.
While I'm more of a fan of the issues as well, I think it does a ton to describe Madia's character which in many ways is just as important.
