Between the first and second ballots of the Repub conventions, first ballot leader Tom Emmer ventured out to meet the media scrum. He told us nothing probative, that I heard, but he was full of beans.

When someone asked him how the second ballot would turn out, he replied:

"I'm not a handicapper. I'm just a singer and a dancer."

For those who have heard him declaim in the legislature, it appears the election will be an interesting contest.

Depends partly on who wins the dem primary, though. Too bad our favorite "Ranger" is not in it: that would really be fun.
