As regular black inkers know, I’m deeply and permanently enamored of the accidentally hilarious headline feature of the Columbia Journalism Review called “The Lower Case.” (Better than the Jay Leno version, methinks.)

Herewith, a few of the good ones from the the March/April issue, which just arrived.

“Girls school still offering ‘something special’ — head”

“Iran invites nations to nuke sites”

“Columbia-Snake rivers close for repairs”

“Nearly $1 billion sought for pet transport projects”

“Church member donates organ to St. Aloysius”

Have a great weekend all. Very nice to get rid of some of this snow.

  1. Thank you Eric. I recall one of my favorite headlines. The story was about a survey showing that most North Dakotans did not know the names of their legislators. The headline: “Survey shows ignorance of ND legislature”.
