Excellent aggregator Taegan Goddard of “Political Wire” passes along his pick for “Tweet of the Day.

It comes from Kansas Republican Congressman Tim Huelskamp, and it goes like this:

“Most House Rs agree w/ most Senate Rs and Americans. Trusting Obama w/ border security is like trusting Bill Clinton w/ your daughter.”

Huelskamp is also sponsoring a federal constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage.

  1. “Don’t know much. . .

about history. Don’t much biology. Don’t know much about the French I took. . . .”

That ’50’s song ought to be the theme song for the Republican Party.

But like Michele Bachmann, this guy knows how to get elected from his almost completely rural, underpopulated, gerrymandered district.

  2. A modest proposal

Those winning elections for congressional House seats ought to be required to pay a fixed entry fee. That might discourage the formation of districts where the livestock outnumber the voters.
