On the occasion of President Obama's visit to Minnesota, the Republican Party of Minnesota is airing an ad, telling the prez to start over on health care. The ad is below. The press release announcing the ad, backed by a $25,000 ad buy, includes quotes from MNGOP's top two officials reinforcing their message:

"We all know President Obama will give a great speech tomorrow but Minnesotans are looking for more than speeches at this point. As our new ad makes clear, it's time to go back to the drawing board and develop a true health care reform plan that won't cut Medicare, raise taxes, ration care and explode the deficit. Minnesotans want a plan that ensures patients are covered regardless of preexisting conditions, where hard working Americans can carry their coverage from one job to the next and tort reform ends frivolous lawsuits that drive up health care costs," Republican Party of Minnesota Chair Tony Sutton said.

"Then candidate Obama promised the people of Minnesota in February 2008 that ‘together, we will change this country.' Now President Obama is back in Minnesota, telling us to keep quiet and get behind his plan to cut Medicare, eliminate patient choice and raise taxes. That's not the kind of change Minnesotans can believe in," Republican Party of Minnesota Deputy Chair Michael Brodkorb said.
