    TheThreeJudges will make law

By Eric Black | Published Fri, Feb 13 2009 11:48 am

One more quick thought on the pending decision by the Three Judge election contest panel on the 19 categories of voter/election official mistakes that might or might not disqualify a ballot, (which I steal directly from my last conversation with Ramsey County Elections Manager Joe Mansky).

What the judges decide will not only determine which of the currently possible 5,000 or so disputed ballots will be counted, and possibly determine the outcome of the election, but will also become state law, upon which election officials like Mansky will rely heading into the next election, unless the Legislature acts in the meantime to change the law again.
