It all began peacefully, as thousands began to march in St. Paul on Monday, protesting Bush administration policies during the Republican National Convention. But hot spots had police and protesters mixing it up; pepper spray was deployed and downtown windows were broken. National Guard troops were sent to help keep order; several dozen arrests were made, on charges ranging from misdemeanors to felonies.
