Statement about running for governor: Former Minnesota House Speaker Steve Sviggum has put his campaign on long-term hold following a ruling that his federal duties as the state's Labor and Industry commissioner prevent him from running for political office. “I’m suspending my campaign, I’m not ending it,” Sviguum told Mary Lahammer of “Almanac” on Aug. 19.
