Postscript to Braublog micro-sponsorships: A match and a half
By Joel Kramer | 06/23/09
As previously announced, we closed out the Braublog micro-sponsorship campaign June 9 with 221 Highbraus ($25 donors) and 107 Lowbraus ($10 each), which earned MinnPost a match of about $6,600 from the Harnisch Foundation, out of a possible match of $10,000.
Then we got a pleasant surprise: Ruth Ann Harnisch sent a check for the full $10,000, saying that she saw from this experiment that it took a lot of staff work on our part to raise money this way, and she wanted us to be compensated for the effort.
So thanks, Ruth Ann, and thanks to the more than 300 of you who contributed anonymously to sponsor Braublog. By the way, though the matching period is over, you can still donate here.
