Almost 350 readers and friends showed up at Solera on Thursday night, Nov. 7, to celebrate MinnPost’s 6th anniversary.

Thanks to generous anniversary sponsors, auction donors and bidders, raffle donors and ticket buyers — and the leadership of anniversary co-chairs Kim Kieves, Barbara Klaas, Debbie Irestone and Cynthia Boyd — the event netted more than $35,000. All proceeds will help support the work of MinnPost journalists.

In addition to eating, drinking, enjoying live jazz, bidding on auction items, signing up for classes* and special events, mingling and sharing election-related opinions, party-goers were treated to a short-and-sweet program. Uncle Al Sicherman’s trivia questions focused on the number six, and CEO/Editor Joel Kramer’s report focused on what’s new at MinnPost.

From the look of the crowd, everyone had a great time. Photos by Jana Freiband will be posted in the next few days.
