MinnRoast is our annual song-and-skit variety show featuring your favorite local politicians, journalists, and media types. This year MinnRoast will be held in a larger venue, the Historic State Theatre, and among the new faces performing will be University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler. He’s got a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, is one of the nation’s foremost experts on “complex fluids,” and in 2013, was named a Charter Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. But, more importantly, is he funny?
You’ll have to buy a ticket to find out (ticket breakdowns are below). President Kaler will be joined on stage by comedienne Lizz Winstead, Gov. Mark Dayton, K-TWIN’s B.T., Sen. Al Franken, KARE 11’s Rena Sarigianopoulos, Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges, and more. The evening begins with some “complex fluids” at a pre-show reception at Rock Bottom Brewery at 5:30.
