MinnPost is launching a new feature today: Community Sketchbook.
About six times a month, Cindy Boyd will write pieces focusing on the economic and social challenges facing communities, especially low-income communities and communities of color, and how people are trying to address them. Her first piece, published today, addresses the sharp growth in the number of Minnesota households receiving food stamps and reporting no other cash income.
Community Sketchbook is made possible by support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and The Minneapolis Foundation and a number of donor advisors.
To give the Community Sketchbook articles the widest possible audience, we encourage any interested organizations or individuals to republish or distribute them, in print or online, with credit to MinnPost and the foundations.
If you have ideas for Community Sketchbook articles, please contact Cindy Boyd at cboyd (at) minnpost (dot) com.
