The Youth Farm and Market Project shows youngsters how to garden while also teaching them something about themselves. I recently visited one of its sites on St. Paul's West Side. The young gardeners harvest the vegetables once a week and deliver them to a neighborhood restaurant and grocery. Each family with kids in the program also gets a basket of vegetables each week for their own tables.
